The Image Is Part of the Sound: The Visual World of Veena Media
The blue headphone portrait and the upside-down pink-and-blue portrait on my Music page show another part of Veena Media: the visual world surrounding the music. Both photographs are by Evan Ferguson.
Music can suggest a place before a listener has words for it. Color, light, texture, and composition offer another way into that atmosphere. On this page, the saturated blues and pinks sit alongside electronic music, ambient sound, and film scores, connecting what you see with what you hear.
Two portraits, two points of entry
The blue portrait introduces me as the artist behind the music. The headphones give it an immediate connection to listening, while the lighting establishes the page’s mood. Farther down the page, the upside-down portrait brings a more surreal perspective to the same visual language.
Placed alongside photographs of live sound, performance, and a film-score award, these portraits add a different kind of context. The working photographs show the craft in action; the editorial photographs give the music a visual presence.
Sound, story, and identity
My practice brings together composition, production, and multimedia storytelling. A release can be experienced through its recording, imagery, video, and presentation, with each part contributing to a coherent identity. That relationship is why photography belongs within my music portfolio.
